Congratulations to all athletes participating at the US Open Pickleball Championship
The Markham Pan Am Centre is a sport hosting venue and hosts International, National, Provincial and Community sport competitions throughout the year. The facility is a training venue during the weekdays for athletes participating in swimming, volleyball, gymnastics, table tennis and Pickleball.
Pickleball is a growing sport and over 70 athletes train and play Pickleball weekly at the Markham Pan Am Centre. Many of the players went to Naples, Florida to compete in the 2018 US Open Pickleball Championship. The Sport Development Unit at the City of Markham would like to congratulate the medal winners and all athletes for participating and owning the podium at the 2018 US Open Pickleball Championship.
The Markham Pan Am Centre has a state of art gymnasium and offers Pickleball every Wednesday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. Players from various municipalities and townships travel to Markham to play Pickleball with intermediate to advance level athletes.
The Markham Pan Am Centre Sport Development Unit organizes an Annual Pickleball Tournament which attracts athletes from across Ontario. This year the Annual Pickleball Tournament will take place from October 26-28, 2018. For more information regarding the tournament, please visit our website at www.markhampanamcentre.ca in July 2018.
